  • June 20th, 2022 - Gov. Laura Kelly seems to have put to bed rumors about bringing the Kansas City Chiefs to Kansas, as the estimated sports betting revenues won't be enough by themselves
  • July 1th, 2022 - Sports betting law kicks in. Casinos are preparing to launch sports betting, with the NFL launch date hopeful.
  • August 1th, 2022 - Regulators plan to pitch a draft of the sports betting framework in front of the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission at the August 12 meeting. The deadline for going live ahead of the NFL season is approaching fast.
  • August 5th, 2022 - A launch ahead of the NFL season is looking increasingly unlikely, according to Todd Allen, director of wagering at the Kansas Racing and Gaming Commission, quoted by LSR.  The good news for Kansas sports fans is that the Commission is confident that sports betting will indeed go live sometime during the NFL season.
