Premier League Week 11 Odds: Previews, Best Bets, and Analysis

Only a few points separate the teams at the top of the Premier League. We’re back with Premier League Week 11 Odds for what’s sure to set the tone for the rest of the season.

 Premier League Week 11 Odds

Who can Pull Away at the Top of the Premier League?

Both Arsenal and Manchester City are currently locked in a high-stakes game of Russian roulette. It seems that the first to make a mistake could pay a hefty price, handing the other a huge advantage in the race to claim the title. Given that we’re only in week 11 and looking at Premier League week 11 odds, It seems crazy to say this so early into the season. Both teams are operating on another level, finding a pace that other teams cannot match.

Arsenal is perhaps the biggest surprise, following a 3-2 victory over a depleted Liverpool squad last week, as they remain at the top of the table. Whilst in that prized spot, the pressure of dropping points could be the all-important factor here, with an inexperienced squad knowing it’s theirs to lose. City is in a favorable position and looks unbeatable. Following another dominant performance against Southampton, they’re in touching distance to Artetas' men and are in a strong position with the World Cup looming

Premier League Week 11 Odds and Predictions

Spurs vs Everton Predictions

Everton @ Spurs, Saturday, October 15 at 12:30 pm ET

It shouldn’t be understated how important Spurs' victory over Brighton was over the weekend. Brighton is currently flying and hasn’t lost a home game since March 2022, coincidently also against Tottenham Hotspur! With a low-scoring affair - Harry Kane making the scoresheet again - the defense shone through with a spectacular display. Both wingbacks, Doherty and Sessegnon, managed to compress the Brighton attack down to just 4 shots on target from a total of 14. Brighton has proven over the season that they can be clinical, scoring a total of 13 goals in the campaign so far, so this is a great achievement. These players will find further improvements in their creativity. With their current positioning, finely tuned crosses to their front three will help improve the scoreline in upcoming matches, taking the pressure off the rest of the backline.

Everton is a tricky team to predict. It was clear that their defense needed an overhaul on the back of a relegation battle last year. Well, they’ve achieved just that and have one of the best defensive records in the league, conceding just 9 goals so far. Despite this, easy mistakes in the midfield led Manchester United to take all three points. United are a team still finding their stride, yet they were still able to catch Everton out on the counterattack. As they look towards the match against Spurs, they should expect to face more of this challenge, with this being Contes’ forte.

The other side of this is that they lack so much in the final third. Neil Maupay being 5ft 8 means he is constantly being beaten in the air, which Everton fails to learn from as they continue to serve him through long balls. This would suit Dominic Calvert-Lewin, yet he remains sidelined with an injury with no expected return date.

Saturday’s EPL week 11 meeting will surely be another victory for Tottenham Hotspur, their recent fixtures have featured low scorelines, and we would certainly expect this against one of the current defensive leaders. Anything more than 2 goals seems unlikely, but we fancy them to keep a clean sheet if they keep up their current form.

Liverpool vs Man City Predictions

Manchester City @ Liverpool, Sunday, October 16 at 11:30 am ET

Over the past few seasons, this has undoubtedly been the biggest event in the Premier League. We must go back as far as 2019 to the last time Liverpool beat Manchester City. Still, it seems unlikely that they’ll be able to repeat this.

Liverpool is a team that looks like a shadow of its former self. Both teams invested heavily over the summer in strikers Darwin Nunez and Erling Haaland, and whilst the debate early on was close, we don’t need to discuss in greater detail how that has turned out… Whilst their defense has faced scrutiny, the introduction of Nunez has forced them to play in a way that is unfamiliar to them. Salah has been forced out wide, and whilst he’s posting the best xG figures among the squad (3.3), he finds himself nowhere near the goal.

Manchester City tells a story on the opposite side of the coin. They’re firing on all cylinders, with star man Erling Haaland getting his 15th goal of this campaign against their win over Southampton - If you’re looking for an easy EPL Week 11 odds and picks, just back him to score. Regardless of this, the rest of the team provide great value thanks to their creativity in finding their leading man. Kevin De Bruyne has already exceeded his record last year for assists (9) and is on track for a career-best. This is on part down to Haaland, but Phil Foden should also get a nod. Foden has gone under the radar so far this season but has racked up 6 goals and 4 assists and has a great record scoring against Klopps’ team.

It’s clear to see that Liverpool lacks the intensity and press they have been known for in seasons of late. The performances, or rather ‘lack of performance’ in defense, should leave them wide open, especially down the right-hand side following Alexander-Arnolds injury. This should enable Foden to excel in this match and continue his run of form.

Aston Villa vs Chelsea Predictions

Chelsea @ Aston Villa, Sunday, October 16 at 9:00 am ET

Graham Potter will be happy with the performances seen from Chelsea so far, winning the last 3 fixtures. Since his appointment, they’ve seemingly found their stride in attack (8 goals) whilst only conceding 1 goal. The recent win over Wolves (3-0) was an exemplary performance showcasing how players like Mason Mount have been instructed to cut inside and find space behind the front line. Enabling the wingbacks to find him unmarked, letting him either shoot or pick out Havertz and Pulisic for another chance on goal. This is still a new system but is showing signs of success which they’ll look to continue with.

Alarms are ringing for Aston Villa and, more importantly, Steven Gerrard. During his post at Rangers, he got a 71% win rate, yet he is scraping the barrel with 34% at Aston Villa. Tactically, he’s not been able to get the best out of Coutinho, Buendia, and Bailey and has left the team looking undivided. This was clear during their draw against Nottingham Forest (1-1), as they looked uninspiring and out of ideas when trying to find the goal. They have improved defensively, with 1.22 goals against them per 90 compared to 1.42 the previous season, but this puts Gerrard's job at risk unless they can find their rhythm upfront.

Chelsea has just proven that they can dismantle a defensive team in Wolves. We’d expect them to have no trouble with a regressing Villa squad, especially considering Potter has more players at his disposal, allowing them to change up tactics when needed and continue applying pressure throughout the full 90.
