With an all-star roster, including Tom Brady entering his 23rd NFL season, It’s crazy to go against the odds on this one. Having hit 13 wins last season, they’ll need to hit good form from the get-go, with a tough opening run against the Cowboys, Saints, and Packers.
Recommended Bet:
The Bills have a point to prove having dominated the AFC East division but losing out to the Chiefs in overtime. Having strengthened their squad, bringing in the likes of Jamison Crowder, fans will be eager to see him reach the heights of Cole Beasley. We back them to achieve this.
Recommended Bet:
The Packers have history when it comes to winning games. For the past 3 seasons, they’ve recorded 13 wins each time. If history has anything to tell us, it’s that consecutive MVP Aaron Rodgers can certainly lead the Packers to further dominance.
Recommended Bet:
The Chiefs are another team who have dominated the league for the past four seasons. Having recorded at least 11 wins for each of those, we expect the Chiefs to beat the Bulls to the top of the AFC West division thanks to their dynamic offense.
Recommended Bet:
Over on the west coast, the Rams are heading into the new season on the back of their 16th title and a Superbowl Championship. However, they face stiff competition from the 49ers and the Cardinals which makes this one trickier to predict. Given their opponents from the AFC South, they should be able to clinch these wins.
Recommended Bet:
In a competitive AFC West division, the Chargers are certainly going to have their work cut out for them if they want to get to the Playoffs this time around. With one of the worst defenses in the league, conceding an average of 27 points per game, Herbert and co need to be switched on from the get-go.
Recommended Bet:
We like the Cowboys as a pick to take the NFC East Division. Having won 12 games last season, we think they’ll keep this momentum up. That said, they do face tougher competition this year with a much improved Eagles side.
Recommended Bet:
Knocked by injuries last season, the Ravens had a bad spell of misfortune which resulted in only 8 wins. With quarterback Jackson back in the mix, they’ll have their aims set high and the run of fixtures that can help them crank out the wins needed.
Recommended Bet:
The Colts have made serious reinforcements to their squad with the likes of Matt Ryan (arriving from Atlanta) and Yannick Ngakoue. Their defense was screaming out for these improvements but time will tell whether an aging Ryan is the missing piece of the puzzle.
Recommended Bet:
Finishing 3rd in the NFC West division should call for some significant changes throughout the offseason. Although, the San Francisco 49ers have placed their faith in Trey Lance who is due to take a big step up in the upcoming season, and with a secure offensive we should see them strike 10 wins for a consecutive season.
Recommended Bet:
Missing the playoffs is one thing, but coming dead last in the AFC West division is another. The Broncos are screaming out for reinforcements, which lead to Russell Wilson coming in from the Seahawks, but worth holding fire on this one until we see whether he has to play at the same intensity.
Recommended Bet:
It’s fair to say that heading into the 2021 season, bettors had their doubts about Siranni coming in for his first season. Despite this, the Eagles proved a great wildcard pick, knocking out 9 wins. If they can build on last year and challenge the Cowboys in the NFC East division, they should be able to crank out 10 wins.
Recommended Bet:
After missing out on their chance at the Superbowl last season, the mood will be extremely sour in the Bengals camp. Fans have hoped to see improvements to their offensive line which they’ve done in the form of La'el Collins, Alex Cappa, Ted Karras, and Hayden Hurst - offering a lifeline to bounce back.
Recommended Bet:
Small margins made a significant difference to the Vikings' 2021 season, losing out by four points or less on five occasions. The scary aspect is that they have the stars to achieve great things with elite running back like Dalvin Cook and receivers Adam Thielen and Justin Jefferson. If they can remain consistent, they should see significant improvements.
Recommended Bet:
The Titans outplayed a lot of teams last season, claiming 12 wins and the top seed in the AFC. But, don’t be fooled. They’ve failed the retain top talent with top draw receivers Julio Jones and A.J Brown moving on. Questions must be asked about whether their replacements can maintain the quality seen of old.
Recommended Bet:
After a seven-game winning streak at the start of the season, the Cardinals limped to a total of 11. Following this up will come down to how they fair against the impressive AFC West division. Considering they’ve played plenty of new faces during the preseason, this may be a tough ask.
Recommended Bet:
Injuries for Winston were the start of the problems seen last season for the Saints. Further downfall is expected following the departure of coach Sean Payton, and whilst this isn’t a knock for incoming coach Dennis Allen, the Saints may struggle to build on the previous season.
Recommended Bet:
The Browns were one of the last on to sportsbook win total boards, a picture that paints a thousand words. Now that quarterback Deshaun Watson has had an 11-game suspension confirmed, further misery seems set in stone for the Browns as they are forced to rely on Brissett.
Recommended Bet:
If the Dolphins are looking at their first playoffs since 2016, they’ll need to prove the Sportsbooks wrong. Realistically, there are seven games where they stand a fighting chance, yet it’ll come down to the fitness of quarterback Tagovailoa.
Recommended Bet:
Consistency is the aim of the game for the Patriots, recording less than 10 wins since the passing of the new millennium - you have Bill Belichick to thank for this! Exceeding 8.5 wins is easily doable, especially considering their run of games.
Recommended Bet:
Excitement is bubbling in the Raiders camp, even more so for bettors as the Raiders offer excellent value. Incoming receiver Davante Adams is sure to reap the rewards of his surrounding teammates, we expect him to contend for the most receiving touchdowns which will only help their record.
Recommended Bet:
The Commanders sit comfortably in the bottom half of the NFC East division, the Cowboys and Eagles will always be tough adversaries. To move in the right direction, they’ve brought in quarterback Carson Wentz to improve their offensive game, a move which should help them on the way to 8 wins, albeit a close one.
Recommended Bet:
It’s do or die for the Giants following the departure of coach Joe Judge. After recording 258 points last season (Only the Jaguars managed worst…), maintaining the fitness of key players Barkley and Jones will be crucial in avoiding a similar fate. Yet, we’re not hopeful.
Recommended Bet:
The bar is pretty low for incoming pivot Mitch Trubisky, as an aging player, he’ll look to revitalize a team consistently at the bottom of division records. Combined with a tough run of fixtures, breaching 7 wins will be a big ask for Pittsburgh.
Recommended Bet:
For most teams, 3 wins in the 2021 season would be seen as a big failure. Yet, considering the injuries the Lions saw, perhaps this isn’t as bad as it seems. With a more familiar first team and some new faces with Amon-Ra St. Brown and DJ Chark, closing the gap is not a big ask.
Recommended Bet:
The Panthers are not in great contention to lead the NFC South division, tough competition in the Buccaneers and Saints does highlight their mediocracy. That said, some glimmer of hope can be found in Christian McCaffrey, returning after a string of injuries affecting their performance last season.
Recommended Bet:
A year ago saw the Jaguars in a completely different position with Urban Meyer at the reins. After a disastrous start, Doug Pederson has been brought in which does hint at further improvement. If he can unlock Trevor Lawrence, there should be a brighter future on the horizon.
Recommended Bet:
Currently, the Bears are going through a major shakeup. This mismatched team hasn’t clicked yet and they’ll be relying on David Montgomery to create some moments of magic. It’s going to take time for them to get up to a high standard but we’d avoid them in the meantime.
Recommended Bet:
Having been placed at 5.5 wins by sportsbooks, it seems to be a bit underwhelming considering what the Seahawks are capable of. Russell Wilson has departed from the team, yet in his place, there remains a strong squad capable of winning 6 of their upcoming games.
Recommended Bet:
The Jets are making all the right moves at the moment, bringing in Johnson, Gardner, and Wilson as their first-round picks. They’ll need to improve on their previous season but this is a step in the right direction.
Recommended Bet:
For a team that went 7-10 last season, 5.5 wins seem harsh, but The Falcons' fixtures are seriously tough. It’s going to be a close call as there are some winnable games, yet with Matt Ryan moving on, replacement Mariota will need to step up fast.
Recommended Bet:
The Texans’ problems are stark. Defensively they’ve conceded a serious number of yards (6,535) which meant only four wins in 2021. Whilst their offensive line has improved, the defense is a glaring issue that has yet to be resolved.
Recommended Bet:
No matter your chosen sportsbook, betting on win totals is incredibly easy. Specifically for NFL, you’ll want to find the option to bet on futures for the 22/23 season.
Typically all teams will be listed along with the sportsbooks predictions and the odds available. It’s up to you to then select your winning bet. Let’s take a look at an example:
We’re confident that the Buccaneers will win 11 games or more, in this case, we’d be looking to bet on the OVER line. If you fancy them to record less than 11 wins, you’d look to select the UNDER line.
If we backed Tampa Bay to get over 11 wins with $100 and they smashed this, we’d expect a payout of $205.
It’s worth brushing up on some of the available offers from sportsbooks to help maximize your bankroll, this can be a great way to minimize risk and get more confident with sports betting.
