McLean belongs in that sentence.

McLean already handled this Dodgers lineup once. On April 14, he threw 7.0 innings, allowed 1 earned run, and punched out 8. Pages, Freeman, Ohtani, Hernández, Tucker, and Freeland all went 0-for-their-appearances that day. Their 2026 BvP numbers against him remain at or near 0.000 OPS in small samples. That is not noise. It is a pitcher who moves the ball and commands both sides well enough to neutralize a power lineup when he is on.

The broader context works against New York. Los Angeles enters at 66-38 on a three-game win streak, averaging 5.2 runs per game. The Mets sit at 43-61 with a minus-66 run differential, scoring 4.0 runs per game. Shohei Ohtani is managing knee soreness and Smith is out with a neck injury, pushing Dalton Rushing behind the plate. McLean Over 6.5 Ks at +114 is the complementary play on the other side of the matchup, though Lindor is the one bat that can disrupt both pitchers' evening in a hurry.
